[662] It may be that Elizabeth's maiden name was Gricie, not Gicie as some havesuggested. No Gicies are found in the census indexes, but Gricie does existand in NC where Elizabeth probably was born. Some have suggested that her maiden name was Grant also and her brother was Capt. William Grant who married Keturah Williams.
