[130] According to family tradition, Hezekiah was killed as the result of a fall from a horse. The Forrester Geneology says birth was in S. Carolina. Son, F.M. says he was born in N.C. Hezekiah bought 13 acres of land for $100 on Sugar Creek on 17 March 1819. In 1840, his next door neighbors were Jonathan Reeves, Sr and brother, Silas, with his parents living close by. The Dunaway, Reeves, and Turner families were close neighbors. Jonathan Reeves, Sr. was Winney's (Hezekiah's wife) uncle.

In the 1830 census the household had 5 males & 3 fem.A Richard, William, Percilla, Silas, and Isiah Forrester were also listed aslivingin Hickman Co. In the 1840 census Richard, Sr, Richard, Jr, Hezekiah,and Silas are listed as living in Hickman Co. Jonathan Reeves, Sr. is a nextdoor neighbor.
